About Michael Moebius

Since he was young, Michael Moebius has been passionate about art, especially cartooning. But growing up in communist East Germany meant he had to prioritize practical pursuits. So, he put art on hold and pursued a formal education, entering a career in engineering and construction. While working in architectural illustration, he came across a book featuring the pin-up art of Alberto Vargas, sparking a newfound interest in figurative art.
